Introducing New Curriculum of LBCS
Education and training of pastors and church leaders must be holistic in nature. That is, Christian leaders must be developed physically, spiritually, intellectually, socially and emotionally, including the development of their knowledge, attitudes, and ministry skills. These objectives can be achieved in a residential training setting. In order to do so, LBCS conducted an island wide research on theological education. Based on the findings of this research, we have made significant revision to our curriculum for holistic training of pastors and leaders in Sri Lanka.
This new curriculum for holistic development will be introduced at LBCS Peradeniya from next year—2017. Therefore, we will not be recruiting students during the middle of the year. Please send in your application for new candidates before the beginning of the year 2017.
Applications must be sent to: Registrar, PO Box 2, Peradeniya For details please call: 081-4930370

Message from Dr.Ted Rubesh
T he Old Testament prophets were an institution raised up by God to guard the faithfulness of God's people to His covenant. False religion constantly threatened the Hebrew nation with enticing alternatives to God's revealed truth, often dressed up as fresh revelation from Jehovah Himself. The prophets were watch for this and challenge it, and to constantly remind the God's people of the truth revealed to them in the Old Testament.
time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Training Leaders with Future in Mind
Dr. A.N.Lal Senanayake
O ur future is more and more characterized by “digital age” and this is obviously evident among the young people in our churches and society. Just as much as there is a rapid change in the digital world, there is a rapid change in the way people think in the future society. Just as much there is a change in the future, the ways of thinking and behavior of people will also change. The way people think is different to the way they thought several years ago.
As Christian leaders we need to see this changing future.
The Christian Leaders much identify the problems, challenges, and opportunities involved in such a changing future and train leaders accordingly.Read more: Training Leaders with Future in Mind
